个人认为:Thestructureofthebackbone是主语shows是谓语,that后面是宾语从句,however是插入语.但是感觉宾从是不是太长了.是不是还可以再进行分析?

只知道He是主语,refusedtodevelop是谓语,projection是宾语.从reasoningthat开始后面的就不知道要怎么分析了,另外refusedtodevelop又是什么成分,是不定式吗?

1.楼主前面的分析都对,that后的确是宾语从句,从句里还有一个让步状语从句.eventhough：即使
2.refusetodo是拒绝做某事,toto这里是做宾语的,后面是现在分词做伴随状语,then后面就是并列句了.
