From1940to2040,theproportionofpopulationaged65andoverinSwedenandUSAaresimilarandfollowthesametrend.In1940,thedatawere7%and9%,during1940and1980,thefigurehadamoderategrowto14%and15%.From1980to1990,droppingto13%and14%.Thereafter,Sweden’sproportionofthepopulationaged65andoverincreasedsharplyto20%.However,America’sproportionofthepopulationaged65andoverleveledoffuntil2020,ithassoarenormouslyto23%in2040.Then,thereisaslightdecreaseto18%in2030,andasignificantgrowto25%in2040inSweden.
Japanwithafallinthepercentageofpeopleaged65andoverbetween1940(5%)and1960(3%).Thepercentageremainedconstantuntil1985,itbegantoclimb.Theriseiscontinueuntil2030,thentheproportionofJapanaged65andoverreach10%.After2030,thereisadramaticallyincreaseto27%in2040.
