FireWall-1andgatewaysincludetransparentUserAuthenticationprovidingaccessprivilegesonaperuserbasisforFTP,Telnet,HTTP,andReloginconnections,regardlessoftheuser'sIPaddress.Ifalocaluseristemporarilyawayfromtheofficeandlogginginfromadifferenthost,thesecurityadministratormaydefinearulethatallowsthatusertoworkonthelocalnetworkwithoutextendingaccesstoallusersonthesamehost.
