ChineseNewYearstartswiththeNewMoon(新月)onthefirstdayofthenewyearandendsonthefullmoon(满月)15dayslater.The15thdayofthenewyeariscalledtheLanternFestival(元宵节),whichiscelebratedatnightwithlanterndisplaysandchildrencarryinglanternsinaparade.
