NOTE:Sensor12-00385-01svhasaselfcontainedpositioningsleeve,thissleevewillactasa"stop",whichreducesmovementofthesensorwithintheconduitwhenpulledatthesensorwires.(seeFigureC)Thissensorconfigurationmayalsobeusedforreturnairoperation.Areplacementcushionclampisprovidedifthissensor,istobeusedasareturnprobe.

Toproperlypositiontheunitsupplysensors,thesensorsheathmustbefullyinsertedthroughthesmallholeatbaseoftheconduit.Thispositioningwillgivethesensortheoptimumamountoftheexposuretothesupplyairandwillallowthecontrolduetothelackofairflowoverthesensorandthesubsequentdetectionofairtemperaturewithintheconduit.

Itisalsonecessarytoensurethattheprobetipdoesnotcontacttheevaporatorbackpanel.Aminimumclearanceof0.25inches(6mm).shouldbemaintained.

1.turnunitpoweroffanddisconnectpowersupply

2.Cutcable2inchesfromshoulderofdefectivesensoranddiscarddefectiveprobe

3.Cutonewireofexistingcable15/8"(41mm)shorterthantheotherwire.

4.Cutonereplacementsensorwire(oppositecolor)back1-5/8"(41mm)

5.Stripbackinsulationonallwiring1/4"(6.35mm)

6.SlidealargepieceofheatshrinktubingovercableandthetwosmallpiecesofheatshrinkoverthewiresbeforeaddingcrimpfittingsasshowninFigureB.

7.Slipcrimpfittingsoverdressedwires(Keeplikecolorstogether).Makesurethewirearepushedintocrimpfittingsasforaspossibleandcrimpwithcrimpingtool.

8.SlideheatshrinktubingoversplicesothatbothendsoftubingcoverbothendsofcrimpasshowninFigureB

9.Heattubing,,preferablywithaflamelessheatgun.Ifnotavailable,apropancetorchwillwork(cautionshouldbetakennottoburntheheatshrinktubingorwireinsulation).Makesureallseamsaresealedtighteragainstthewiringtopreventmoistureseepage.

10.Slidelargeheatshrinktubingoverbothsplicesandheattoshrinktubingasinstep9.
