Admittedly,jobcanmakeusfeelhappy.Firstly,itcanmeetourmaterialneedsbyworkinghard.Asweearnmoneybyworking,wecanusethesemoneytobuygrandhouses,investourchildren’seducation,ordowhateverwewanttodo.Wewillfeeldelightedifallourgoalsareaccomplished.Secondly,doingajobcanhelpusrealizeourdreamsandself-value,whichcanmakeusfeelhappyandfulfillment.Forexample,BillGates,theworldrichestman,wasaddictedtosoftwaredesignwhenhewasacollegestudent.Inordertorealizehisdream,hedroppedoutofschooltoopenasoftwarecompany.Aftersomanyyears’hardworking,hiscompanybecomestheworldbiggest

softwarecompany,andhefinallyrealizedhisdreamandself-value.Hegains

happinessfromhiswork.

However,wecan’tsimpledrawtheconclusionthatjobisgreaterhappinessthansociallifebecauseahealthysociallifewithourfriendsisalsothesourceofhappiness.Fistofall,ourfriendscanhelpusgetridofsomemorbidemotionsandfeelhappyagain.Wheneverweareinblue,along-timeconversationwithourfriendswouldalwaysmakeusfeelbetterandhappyagain.TakeMarxandEngelsasexample,whenMarxencounteredmajorsetbackonhiscareerandwasdispirited.It’sEngelswhoalwayswroteandtalkedtohimtocheerhimup.What’smore,ourfriendscanhelpandsupportusifwemeetbigproblems.Finally,wecanhavealotoffunwithourfriend.Wecanhavesomegroupactivitiestogetherlikesinging,dancing,orplayingbasketball,whichcannotonlymakeusfeelhappybutalsoteachusalot.Forinstance,whenplayingbasketballwithourfriend,wecanhavethehappinessthatthevictorybringsandlearnhowtocooperatewithothersandkeepinsistenceaswell.

Tosumup,bothourjobsandsociallifecanbringushappiness,soit’simportantandnecessarytohavethemboth.
